About me
Shayla Reasonover-Burney is an Outreach Specialist in the CMS Dallas Regional Office with more than 23 years of dedicated federal service.
She began her civil service career with the Social Security Administration’s Office of Disability Adjudication and Review in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and later in Kansas City, Missouri. During her tenure, she served as a Lead Case Technician, managing case analysis, Title XVIII compliance reviews, ALJ calendar coordination, and staff training.
Shayla went on to contribute her expertise at the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Medicare Hearings and Appeals, where she reviewed Medicare Parts A–D and IRMAA appeals, drafted legal determinations, and supported quality assurance efforts for Administrative Law Judges.
Shayla also served at the U.S. Courts (Eastern District of Louisiana) as an Administrative Services Specialist, overseeing the agency’s Occupant Emergency Plan, managing facilities and space projects for both the U.S. District Courts and the U.S. Probation Office, coordinating with GSA, and conducting asset inspections.
Prior to her current role, Shayla supported national initiatives as a Management Analyst in the CMS Dallas Front Office, contributing to program development and agency-wide operations.
Her extensive experience across multiple federal agencies reflects her deep commitment to public service and her strong background in program management, compliance, and operational support.
